In the invitation to the first Gathering in 1972 the idea was expressed as follows:
“We, who are brothers & sisters, children of God, families of life on earth, friends of nature & of all people, children of humankind calling ourselves Rainbow Family Tribe, humbly invite all races, peoples, tribes, communes, men, women, children, individuals - out of love -all nations & national leaders - out of respect -all religions & religious leaders - out of faith -all politicians - out of charity -to join with us in gathering together for the purpose of expressing our sincere desire that there shall be peace on earth and harmony among all people.
To hold open worship, prayer, chanting or whatever is the want or desire of the people… that there be a meditative, contemplative silence wherein we, the invited people of the world may consider & give honour & respect to anyone or anything that has aided in the positive evolution of humankind & nature upon this, our most beloved & beautiful world - asking blessing upon we people of this world & hope that we people can effectively proceed to evolve, expand, & live in harmony & peace …“

The Mirapuri Rainbow Gathering is a ten days event for all who want to be together in the aspiration for a better future of love and peace, in the new consciousness atmosphere and the beautiful land of Mirapuri - the City of Peace and Future Man in Europe, Italy. The Mirapuri Rainbow Gathering takes place every year in August at the New Ranch in Mirapuri.
The Mirapuri Rainbow Gathering is a non-commercial event and functions in the typical Rainbow Gathering way without any special leader on the basis of consulting the 'talking stick'. There is a common kitchen, OM singing, the 'magic hat' and all the other charateristics of the worldwide Rainbow Gatherings. There is clear water and no electricity. Participants bring their own camping equipment. They are expected to respect nature and help to keep the place in order. Food can be supplied for minimal charges through the Mirapuri Grocery in the nearby village (ca. 30 Min. walking from the Mirapuri Rainbow Gathering area).
The Mirapuri Rainbow Gathering evolves through its own dynamics and creativity and everyone is invited to contribute spiritually, artistically and materially for a happy and inspiring community experience.

In tal caso, Mirapuri e Miravillage provvederanno a fornirti alloggio e tutti i servizi necessari per il resto della tua vita a Mirapuri e Miravillage e la proprietà apparterrà a Mirapuri e Miravillage e al loro sviluppo futuro.
LAVORO, INDIVIDUO E ISTRUZIONE: A Mirapuri e Miravillage ciascuno lavora e impara su base libera e indipendente. Ogni individuo contribuisce alla vita generale secondo la sua buona volontà. Non ci sono obblighi comuni. La crescita, il rispetto e la protezione dell'individuo sono il presupposto fondamentale per lo sviluppo della vita in comune a Mirapuri e Miravillage.
AUTORITÀ SPIRITUALE: In accordo con lo Yoga Integrale e con gli Ideali di Sri Aurobindo e della Madre, ognuno può far riferimento ai loro scritti, ai filmati, alle fotografie e alle registrazioni come guida per lo sviluppo personale. Oltre a ciò, non vi è alcuna autorità spirituale istituzionalizzata. Ogni individuo segue la propria evoluzione spirituale secondo le proprie aspirazioni e inclinazioni.
